Looking to plan a couples cruise?  Now that the weather is getting colder and the local pools are closing, it’s the perfect time to start planning that perfect cruise so you can getaway from reality for a while.  Cruises provide plenty of opportunities to have fun while traveling to tropical destinations that you crave.

Let's look at two great cruise line options, Norweigen & Carnival.

Norwegian Cruise Lines has a "Freestyle Choice" special going on right now through the end of 2015. The special includes unlimited alcoholic drinks throughout your trip, free specialty dining for four nights, 250 minutes of free Wi-Fi, or a shore excursion credit. You can take a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise departing from Tampa, Florida for just $469/per person.

Norwegian Breakaway ships also have Adults Only enclaves, Spice H20, so you can relax in the hot tubs or dance under the stars without having to worry about children splashing or disturbing your relaxing time. They also have side-by-side loungers, so if you're a couple, you can relax and lay next to your loved one.

Carnival offers plenty of cruises to the Bahamas through the month of December; anywhere from 2 days to 10+ days. For a 4-day Bahamas cruise, you can pay as little as $169 per person, departing from Miami. Click here to get started on booking your Carnival cruise to the Bahamas!

Carnival also offers the option for you to pay a flat price per day and receive up to 15 alcoholic drinks per day with their "Cheers! Beverage Program." It’s $49.95/per day per person. Add it to your cart when placing your cruise to have it included in your package using this link:

The free speciality dining and unlimited beverage packages are available for the first two travelers only, so it's the perfect added extra for a couple's getaway.

If you choose to book a cruise for 2016, booking now gets you an unlimited beverage package included in the price of your room.

Thinking about food?  Traveling on Carnival, you have a lot of food options like fresh seafood, barbeque, or even pizza that are included in your cruise price.  Other formal dining options are available that can cater to any craving you've got.  The full list can be found here-

Want to Save Money?   If you're looking to save some money when booking a cruise, waiting until the cruise departure date gets closer to book your room can often save you a few bucks. As the date of the cruise gets closer the cruise lines attempt to fill up the empty rooms by slowly decreasing the price of the room as the date approaches. So, if you're not super picky about where you sleep, your best bet is to hold off on booking until a month or less before the day you want to leave.

Booking your cruise during school season is the perfect way to make sure your cruise costs less and almost guarantees your romantic getaway will be filled with rest and relaxation.
